Q:What attracted you to a WellSpan career?

A:

I was initially attracted to WellSpan for the opportunity to teach emergency medicine to resident physicians and medical students in a unique academic community hospital setting.

Q:After working at WellSpan York Hospital and WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, you transitioned into the role of medical director for the neighborhood hospitals. What's behind your decision?

A:

I was intrigued by the innovative model of emergency medical care provided by the neighborhood hospital model. This unique setting offers an efficient way to deliver healthcare to our patients. It also provides physicians the opportunity to practice independently in an environment where we can truly utilize our clinical reasoning and skills, which attracted many of us to emergency medicine.
